Hey guys, thanks for choosing Theresa’s Face and Body waxing spa as the go-to place for your waxing and grooming needs.  In the past two and a half years, I have been at my Downtown Cape Coral location, I have been pleased to work on men in an array of professions including first responders, medical, education, sales and professional athletes.  It has been my observation that for guys ages 30 to 70, the service they are seeking out the most is back waxing.  It is great to see men on par with women when it comes to personal grooming. One of the main reasons our male clients seek out back waxing is that here in Florida the heat and humidity is a constant and men are wanting to be more comfortable when they are outdoors.  Regardless of the activity, like swimming, softball, golfing, working out, biking, having a clean, hairless body improves comfort. Many significant others also want their men to have a hairless back as well.

What To Expect

If you’ve never undergone a back waxing treatment at Theresa’s Face and Body waxing spa, rest assured we’ll walk you through the entire process, making sure you understand all of the steps while providing an experience that’s comfortable.  A back waxing service typically runs from 30 to 45 minutes and includes cleansing of the treatment area with gentle cleanser then drying the area to remove moisture. A small amount of oil is then applied to the skin to act as a barrier before the removal of the hair.  Also, important to the success of the treatment, the hair must be removed with the strips in the opposite direction of the growth.  In addition, a soothing solution with vitamin E is sprayed onto the skin to remove any excess wax while also calming the treated area.  A cream containing aloe, vitamin E and cucumber gel is then smoothed onto the back to remove redness and cool the area.

After Treatment

At Theresa’s Face and Body waxing spa you’ll be informed on all of the aftercare steps to ensure that your skin recovers beautifully. We will also do a 24-hour follow-up call to make sure your skin is looking and feeling great and answer any questions you may have.

Homecare includes applying hydrocortisone to reduce any redness or inflammation that might occur, avoiding the sun for 24 hours after the wax, staying out of  the pool or salt water for 24 hours, and avoiding soap and sun onto the treated area.
